International Women’s Day: Celebrating the Paulina Oduro, Mercy Johnson and other women stars in “Once Upon A Family”

Late last year, Eunice Asiedu set out on a misson, to contribute her story, to the history of the Ghanaian movie industry. Eunice and her team at EA Productions, began what may be tagged, “One of Ghana’s biggest productions yet”; sparing nothing when it came to quality, expense and recruiting the best cast and crew from across Africa.

The movie, which is shrouded in a storyline of secrets was put together by an excellent team, led by producer Eunice Asiedu and assisted by director, Pascal Amanfo.

Eunice, In an earlier interview, stated that her first step was to reach out to director Pascal and share her dream with him. However, to make her dream come true and tell a story that can be related to by people across the continent, Eunice needed an ultimate cast.

Today being International Women’s Day, it’s only right to celebrate women on the cast, whose contributions added immensely to the production of this yet-to-be-seen Ghanaian masterpiece. Who are you going to see at the Easter Monday Premiere?

Eunice Asiedu:  She’s not only the producer of Once Upon A Family, but also plays a minor role in the movie. When asked about her decision to play a minor role, Eunice said, ” I have left acting for so long and I felt i needed to master my game before taking a major task”

Mercy Johnson Okojie: Born August 28th 1984, Mercy Johnson Okojie, has played a phenomenal role, to the growth of Nollywood. Her Inclusion in Once Upon A Family, definitely brings out the best in her.

Selly Galley-Fiawoo : Selly has championed a cause for women, since her days as a Big Brother Africa housemate. The Actress/TV host has helped many through her maternal foundation and brings passion to the screens through her movie roles.

Kisa Gbekle: Born on 16th January 1992, Kisa is a Ghanaian Actress that has starred in both Local and Nollywood movies. She isn’t shy to speak about her tough upbringing. Constantly repping for Girls who had little, but are striving to change the narrative
