Black Galaxies Head Coach, Annor Walker has tipped his team to be champions of the delayed 2022 Championship of African Nations (CHAN).
The tournament will be played in Algeria from Friday, January 13 to Saturday, February 4, 2023.
Ghana is two-time runners-up in 2009 and 2014.
After missing out on CHAN in 2016, 2018, and 2020, the Black Galaxies return to the continental competition, with the aim of winning their first trophy.
Speaking on Ghana’s chances at the CHAN, Annor Walker said:
“We didn’t come here to come and joke. We didn’t come here to look at how Algiers is. We came for a purpose. We came also to win the cup.”
Ghana has been paired in Group C of the tournament with defending Champions, Morocco, Sudan, and Madagascar.
The Black Galaxies will start the competition with a clash against Madagascar on January 15, before facing Sudan four days later.
The team will end their group games with a duel against Morocco on January 23, 2023.
