‘Accounting to the People’ tour goes to A/R

Mahama campaignPresident John Dramani Mahama will be in the Ashanti Region from today, Tuesday, June 28, for the start of a three-day tour of the region.

Dubbed ‘Accounting to the People’, the tour will take the president and his entourage around sites of major development works in the Region.

He is expected to arrive at 10:00am at the Kumasi International Airport and immediately proceed to the Central Mosque to pay a courtesy call on the Zongo chiefs and elders.

At midday, President Mahama will inspect Asawase’s market and roads after which he will head to Kumawu.

At Kumawu, the president will inspect ongoing works on the Kumawu Hospital and water system.

Later in the day, he will inaugurate Kumasi Polytechnic’s Center for Renewable Energy and Entrepreneurship Village.

A sod-cutting ceremony will also be held for the Polytechnic’s new campus.

The president is also expected to make a stopover at the Kejetia market to end Day 1 of the tour.
