Ghanaian actor and host of “Real News” on UTV, Akrobeto, has earned a grand nomination for TV Presenter of the Year at the upcoming My Africa Influence Awards.
The event is set to take place in Abidjan, Ivory Coast, on December 17, 2023.
Akrobeto real name as Akwasi Boadi, a Ghanaian actor, comedian and TV presenter, is the only Ghanaian nominee in this competitive category, representing his country on the continental stage.
He faces stiff competition from fellow presenters, including Trevor Noah from South Africa, Cheick Yvhane from Ivory Coast, Bassem Youssef from Egypt, Ebuka Uchuendu from Nigeria, and Dingindaba Buyoya from Zambia.
In addition to Akrobeto’s nomination, the talented Ghanaian actress Jackie Appiah has also been recognized.
She’s in the running for the Influencer of the Year award, competing against notable figures such as Tems from Nigeria, Nancy Isime from Nigeria, and Tonto Dikeh from Nigeria, among others.
