Applicants who have been shortlisted for employment under the Youth Employment Agency (YEA) will be subjected to aptitude tests on Friday, August 5.

The tests will be carried out nationwide but at three centers.

The southern sector will have applicants converging at the St Thomas Aquinas School for the test.

Kumasi Polytechnic will host the test for the western sector while Tamale SHS will be the center for the northern sector test.

President John Dramani Mahama in his 2016 State of the Nation address in February announced that recruitment had begun with over 100,000 young Ghanaians expected to be employed.

The Agency was established under the Youth Employment Act 2015 (Act 887) to empower young people to contribute meaningfully to socio-economic and sustainable development of the nation.

The Agency replaced the Ghana Youth Employment and Entrepreneurial development Agency (GYEEDA), which was rocked with financial malfeasance.
