The Omanhene of Begoro Traditional Area, Dasebre Awuah Kotoko, says he is very happy a man like Dr Nduom can still be found in Ghana.
He said Dr Nduom stands tall among all the presidential candidates contesting for this year’s elections because he is an honest man who keeps his promises.
The Omanhene made it known on Wednesday, August 24, when the vice presidential candidate for the Progressive People’s Party (PPP) paid a courtesy call on him at his palace in Begoro.
The Omanhene in a welcome speech said there is too much suffering in the country and he has no doubt Dr Nduom is the type of leader Ghana needs at this time.
He said: “I know Dr Nduom, he is very honest man, he keep his promise, he always do, he is the type of leader our country needs at this time”.
He continued by saying “we are all suffering, the whole country is in crises. We can’t pay our hospital bills, our roads are bad and so many other problems”.
He concluded by saying Dr Nduom has all the requisite knowledge and capabilities to change the current state of the country.
The Vice Presidential Candidate, Ms Brigitte Dzogbenuku, expressed her gratitude to the chief for welcoming her to his palace and reiterated Dr Nduom’s job creation agenda.
She said the PPP will accelerate development through four main pillars when voted into power; incorruptible leadership, job creation, quality education and better healthcare systems, and added Dr Nduom will assemble the best brains together through inclusiveness to achieve it.
Ms Dzogbenuku earlier addressed market women and party supporters in a mini rally at Ahomahomaso in the Fanteakwa North constituency of the Eastern region.
She charged the people to vote for PPP since the party has the best policies on job creation.
She introduced the PPP parliamentary candidate for Fanteakwa North constituency, Amos Nkansah, to the people.
The parliamentary candidate, Amos Nkansah, in his speech assured the people he will be accountable to them when voted into office as a member of parliament. He urged the people to vote for PPP for job creation.
Ms Brigitte Dzogbenuku and her team later moved to Affiduase in the New Juabeng North constituency to address party sympathisers and introduced the PPP parliamentary candidate, Mr Gabriel Nogah to the people.
She told the people the time has come for them to do away with NDC and NPP and vote for the PPP for the needed development.
The vice presidential candidate and her team are in the Eastern region for two days campaign tour.
