Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir

The Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir visited Ghana on August 3, 2016 from the United States for the Airtel Adom Praiz concert in Accra.

The choir came in a number of 20 talented vocalists that rocked the Perez Dome in Dzorwulu last Friday night.

They created an atmosphere of worship and praises. They sang most of their popular songs during the concert. Some of these songs include Use Me, Heaven Medley, Order My Steps, How Long Has It Been, Jesus We Crown You With Praise and many more.

The Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir is directed by Carol Cymbala, the wife of Pastor Jim Cymbala.

The Choir is made up of 280 individuals from diverse races and economic backgrounds. The Choir actually began with nine people in the mid-90’s.

In the early 1980s, Carol felt a desire to make a recording to bless the people of the congregation.

When she had trouble finding enough material that would lift up the greatness of God, Carol began to write songs by herself. After nearly 30 years of recordings and live performances, Carol and the choir continue to rely on the Lord for His grace and direction in their ministry.

The singing group is made up of attorneys, nurses, former street people, ex-drug addicts and many more.

The group is a unique cross section of humanity. The funds for the production of the first choir recording were raised by the choir members themselves who pre-sold albums to their friends and family members.

The choir has touched the lives of people all over the world and has travelled many international countries.

The reputable singing group has won Five Dove awards together with six Grammy awards.

Their purpose of ministry is to declare Jesus all over the world and to uplift God with their voices  in the form of praises  and worship.
