Nigerian socialite Baddie Kimmy K sparked discussions as she candidly shared her views on Grammy Award-winning artist Burna Boy.
Kimmy K, during a discussion on Pulse Hot Takes, didn’t hold back as she described Burna Boy as a “man-child” rather than embracing his self-proclaimed “Odogwu” status.
The conversation delved into the genesis of Burna Boy’s apparent sensitivity, particularly triggered by a comment made by fellow artist Davido. During a previous interview, Davido acknowledged himself and Wizkid as pioneers who paved the way for the industry’s “new cats,” including Burna Boy. This reference seemed to strike a chord with Burna Boy, who responded indirectly on social media.
Kimmy K questioned Burna Boy’s approach to the situation, expressing bewilderment at his choice to engage in subtle online banter rather than addressing the issue directly with Davido.
“My thing with Burna Boy is that he calls himself an Odogwu but essentially at his core, he’s a man child. And we all know that that all new cats statement from Davido really hurt him.
“I mean as a man, why can’t you address him (Davido)? What’s with all the subs? That’s what I don’t understand with Burna Boy,” Kimmy K stated.
She specifically highlighted Burna Boy’s tendency to “throw subs and then hide his hand,” indicating a pattern of indirect communication.
Amidst the discussion, Kimmy K offered advice to Burna Boy, urging him to opt for mature and direct communication rather than perpetuating a cycle of online exchanges.
