Member of Parliament for Okere Constituency Daniel Kwaku Botwe has described Thursday night’s robbery attack on him and his family as “frightening”.
He says he was initially “not sure that was happening at my place” in Tema Community 20, where he has lived for the past 16 years.
Speaking after the Speaker and some members of Parliament paid him and his family a consolation visit on Friday, May 6, the former minister of state said the robbers demanded monies and other valuables, which were given out.
He said they asked, “Where is your money?”
The incident has left the Botwe family including his three daughters traumatized, according to our correspondent.
Security has since been beefed up in the area with reinforcement called from Accra.
The Baatsona Divisional Police has also taken over the case, TV3’s Josephine Frempong said on Midday Live.
Two security officers have also been picked up in connection with the crime.
