Nigerian music sensation, Davido, faced disappointment at the 66th Grammys, falling short of his first Grammy win despite nominations in three categories: Best African Music Performance, Best Global Music Performance, and Best Global Album Performance.
Unfortunately, Davido was unable to secure a victory in any category, with ‘Water’ by Tyla surpassing him for Best African Music, ‘Pashto’ by Béla Fleck, Edgar Meyer & Zakir Hussain featuring Rakesh Chaurasia taking the prize for Best Global Music Performance, and ‘The Moment’ by Shakti winning the accolade for Best Global Album.
