DJ Azonto, also known as Mark Kwesi Arthur, recently revealed his intention to sell the rights to his hit track ‘Fa No Fom’ for the 2024 political campaigns in Ghana.
In an interview with Amansan Krakye on Cape Coast-based Property FM, DJ Azonto emphasized his eagerness for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) or the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to use his song during their campaigns, offering it as a potential anthem for the upcoming elections.
The artist highlighted the upbeat and catchy nature of ‘Fa No Fom,’ which has gained popularity among music enthusiasts. DJ Azonto shared that he is ready to engage in negotiations with any political party willing to use his song, citing instances where parliamentary aspirants from both NPP and NDC utilized it in previous elections.
Expressing his openness to collaboration, DJ Azonto sees this as an opportunity to not only contribute to the political landscape but also benefit financially. He stated that he would use the proceeds from selling the rights to fulfill a personal goal – buying his mother a Lamborghini and a house in East Legon.
