Actress Yvonne Nelson has sent a word of caution to Professor Naana Jane Opoku Agyemang, the newly appointed running mate of the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama.
In a Twitter post sighted by KwasiAboagyeLive.com, the actress cautioned the Professor not to be too complacent and get carried away like others do after they have won.
According to her, she loves Prof Opoku-Agyemang and believes women can deliver when given the nod to serve their people.
Yvonne added that Ghanaians are currently looking for leaders who have the country at heart.
She wrote on Twitter: “Prof, I love this…WOMEN can 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 Deliver and serve your people right. We know its strategic, yeaa, we only need leaders who will put GHANAIANS first, do this and dont be carried away like they all do when they win. All the best 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽”.
Her comment comes after Prof Opoku-Agyemang was announced as the running mate of John Dramani Mahama in the upcoming general elections on Monday, July 6.
“The @OfficialNDCGh, this afternoon, unanimously, endorsed my nomination of Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang as my Running Mate for the December 2020 election. She is God-fearing, a distinguished scholar, a conscientious public servant & a role model,” Ex-President Mahama said.
