Supporters of Ghana Premier League club Ebusua Dwarfs are angry with the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and the Cape Coast Traditional Council for the team’s recently poor run.
The Mysterious Dwarfs have failed to score, let alone win, at home since the NDC launched its 2016 campaign in Cape Coast.
The launch followed a controversial lifting of a noise-making ban in the area.
According to the supporters, the action of the traditional authorities to set aside custom to allow the NDC hold a rally in the Central Region capital is the cause of the team’s recently abysmal performance.
Dwarfs lost 0-2 to Bechem United at home last week and on Sunday, August 28 lost by the same margin to Medeama SC.
“Why should you allow NDC to host their programme on taboo days,” one supporter told Onua FM’s Kwame Karkaba.
“It has incurred the wrath of Baka (river god) behind the stadium.”
The supporters are worried how the team could beat Asante Kotoko 4-1 at the same stadium but fail to do so after the launch.
They wondered how the goals conceded in both defeats could come in the same fashion.
