The Electoral Commission, Ghana (EC) will begin recruitment of officers for the December 7, 2016 elections from “next week”.
“Details of qualifications, skills required and the application process will be announced next week,” a statement issued on Thursday, September 8 after an Inter-Party Advisory Committee (IPAC) meeting said.
Signed by Head of Communications Eric Kofi Dzakpasu, the statement also announced that the criteria and procedure for election observer accreditation will also be made known next week.
With barely less than three months to go to the polls, the EC met the political parties to make known its calendar to them.
“The updated electoral calendar will be released and shared with all stakeholders by Friday, September 9.”
Special voting for this year’s polls has been slated for Thursday, December 1.
