The second phase of the Electoral Commission’s (EC)’s Limited Registration Exercise across the country has seen a massive turnout today.
A visit to some registration centers reveals long queues, with confusion and misunderstanding ensuing at some of the centres.
The EC exercise which started last week Thursday went on break yesterday but resumed today, Wednesday.
The exercise in general has been peaceful with the exception of few reported cases of violence caused by two major political parties, the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC) and opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP).
Onua News reporter, Abena Obaaku Amponsah reports from Mamprobi Girls School in the Ablekuma South Constituency of the Greater Accra Region that most of the prospective voters in queues look like minors.
This, she said, created confusion between the NDC and NPP members at the centres.
The 10-day voter registration exercise will end on Sunday, May 8.
