A pastor-cum-marriage counsellor has asked Ghanaian women to desist from the practice of denying their husbands sex when they request, warning it could lead to divorce.

Pastor Wilberforce O. Frimpong who heads the Church of Christ at Twifo-Praso in the Central Region, observed a lot of problems in marriages of today arise out of issues with sex among partners.

According to him, “every man wants sexual satisfaction” from his wife, hence advised women, especially those who have been using sex as a form of punishment for their husbands, to cease because it has the tendency to ruin their marriages.

Pastor Frimpong made the call when he addressed the 18th Annual Central Regional Women’s Bible Camp at Ajumako Besease in the Central Region. He was speaking to both singles and married women about singlehood and marriage.

He said most marital issues that have come before him in the course of his work as a counsellor had sex as the root cause, noting many men who shirk their responsibility do so because their wives have been denying them sex when they want it.

Pastor Frimpong said under no circumstance should a woman deny her husband sex but said when the need arises, women should always find a nice way of communicating that to their spouse to understand and not just refuse them.

He advised that as a woman, once you serve your husband supper, it is important to make sexually make him happy in bed.

For him, lingerie and nighties are a no, no for  a married woman when going to bed, saying “you should be naked and not feel shy before your husband,” citing Genesis 2:25 which states that Adam and his wife were both naked, but were not ashamed of each other.
