FA CUP Awards: Cobbina beats kotoko’s Saddick Adams to MVP

Hearts of Oak’s mercurial attacking midfielder, Winful Cobbina, has been adjudged the Most Valuable Player of the year at the 7th edition of the MTN FA CUP awards.

The skillful midfielder beat competition from Asante Kotoko’s Saddick Adams and Isaac Amoah of Amidaus professionals and was elated to have been recognized by organizers of the awards.

“I am very happy I have been honored this way because coming back to Ghana to relaunch my carrier, I think I worked very hard and this is the result”, Cobbina told Joy sports.

The former Najar FC player recounted the massive support he enjoyed from supporters, his colleagues and technical team of Hearts of Oak since joining the Ghanaian top flight after a failed sting with the Saudi Arabian outfit.

“I am very grateful to the many fans that believed in me and supported me on my return and I promise them the best of me this season. Our technical team also worked on me so well to get this result”.

Cobbina has been out with injury after he aided his club to grab a point away to Eleven Wonders on match day one of the 2017/2018 Premier League season and is expected to resume training next week.
