Preparations for this year’s National Food and Agric Show [FAGRO] scheduled September 28 at the Trade Fair Centre in Accra has reached an advance stage, with organisers promising a rewarding opportunity for participants.
FAGRO is Ghana’s primary agribusiness event that brings together various stakeholders throughout the agricultural sector locally and internationally to exhibit and brainstorm on new trends, technologies and practices in the sector.
“We are looking forward to a great event which will turn out to be rewarding to all stakeholders,” Alberta Nana Akyaa Akosa, General Manager of FARGRO Secretariat, has assured.
She said the one-stop platform for all exhibitors will offer amazing networking opportunities that would snowball into a number of business deals, noting “FAGRO 2016 will leave stakeholders with unforgettable experiences”
The three-day event is themed: “Preparation, knowledge and Training = Business”, and it comes with a free training session for agribusinesses aimed at shoring up their business plan writing skills.
The training will be facilitated by officials from IE Singapore, one of the event partners.
Trainees will undertake a proposal writing contest the best two proposals will be assisted to access grants to boost their businesses.
“We chose this theme because after FAGRO 2016, we expect stakeholders in the industry to begin to see and approach their endeavours as businesses that require proper management to be sustainable and hugely successful,” Ms Akosa said.
Exhibiting at this year’s event are Best Ghana, Young Farmers, Sens Fish Ventures, Global Cold Stores, Winnes Food, Brazillian Embassy, Lakesyde Farms, Imagead, Dynapharm, Dizengoff Ghana, John Deere, FAO, Wienco, Esoko and Agriseed.
