First BanC Financial Services has been adjudged the Investment Bank of the Year.
It was one of the six prizes won by the bank overall at the 2016 Ghana Investment Awards held at the Kempiski Hotel, Accra on Thursday, October 13.
The Awards recognises leaders in the investment banking industry.
Aside the top award of Investment Bank of the Year, First BanC scooped the Advertising Campaign of the Year, was first runner-up as Money Market Bank and came 3rd as the Advisor Investment Bank.
Employee Benjamin Amoah Adjei was awarded Best Fund Manager of the Year while the bank also won the Most Promising Investment Professionals.
Head of Assets Management at First BanC Alex Acheampong expressed gratitude to customers for the awards.
“First BanC is seven years and counting and in these seven years our customers bear witness that we have been helping them create wealth with minimal risk,” he said.
He said the awards will serve as a springboard to serve the bank’s customers better.
Other investment banking institutions also won awards. For instance, Gold Coast Investment won the Investment of the Year while UMB won the Balance Fund of the Year.
Security and Exchange Commissioner Dr Charles Asabere was decorated with the Lifetime Achievement Award.
