The First Lady, Lordina Mahama has broken an old-age jinx that cast doubt about the lovely nature of men in the country, as she confirms that Ghanaian men are romantic.
The Merriam-Webster dictionary has several definitions for the word ROMANTIC. “Thinking about love and doing and saying things to show that you love someone”, is just one of them.
Some Ghanaian ladies have argued that when it comes to being romantic, Ghanaian men are not up to the level they expect or compared to men from other countries.
This prompted one of Ghana’s leading radio stations, 3FM 92.7 to gauge the thinking or perception of its listeners and followers on social media.
On Tuesday, the station posted the question: “Are Ghanaian men romantic and generous?”
About 80% of the respondents affirmatively answered yes. This of course included the First Lady.
Mrs. Lordina Mahama tweeted back at the question, pointing to the fact that her husband, John Mahama, who is Ghana’s president, leads in terms of being romantic and generous.
“Yes they are,” the First Lady replies whether Ghanaian men are romantic and generous, and added, “Starting with the First Man of the land”.
Her feedback was accompanied with an imposing image of the number one gentleman of the land emerging from a chauffeured vehicle.
