Founder and leader of the All People’s Congress (APC) Dr. Hassan Ayariga believes Ghana can be better and is, therefore, urging voters to make the right choice and vote the party into government on December 7.

Dr. Hassan Ayariga and the APC launched a 2016 manifesto with the theme: ‘All inclusive governance: The Only Way to Ghana’s Economic Prosperity’.

The launch saw party faithfuls in their numbers to support Hassan Ayariga’s bid to become president of Ghana.

Present were the Vice Presidential Candidate, Emmanuel Bartels, General Secretary Razak Kojo Opoku and 2012 Independent Presidential Candidate Joy Osei Yeboah (JOY).

The APC becomes the third political party to launch its manifesto, following the Progressive People’s Party (PPP) and the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC), which launched its manifesto in Sunyani.

Speaking at the launch, the flagbearer outlined a number of issues his party intend to implement if elected into power on December 7.

“I ask Ghanaians to vote for the APC and Dr. Hassan Ayariga as president and my vision for Ghana is to build a self confident and prosperous nation,” he outlined.

“We will make people matter and even though I can’t solve every problem in the lives of Ghanaians I will give everyone the opportunity to improve and better their lives.

“My first and only consideration will be to concentrate on two key issues which are the agenda for jobs and build a strong economy.”

Dr Ayariga slammed the two major political parties – National Democratic Congress and the New Patriotic Party – as bringing bad stewardship to the country.

“The era of dumsor affected the whole of Ghana and you all realise how long it took the NDC to make some progress on it”.

According to him, the bad  governance of both the NDC and the NPP has brought immense suffering on the lives of Ghanaians and referred to nurses, teachers, doctors, carpenters, drivers et cetera as victims of bad governance from the two big political parties.

He also stated that APC will completely eradicate dumsor which was created by the NPP and the NDC and “I promise will completely eradicate it”.

On the country’s economy, Dr. Ayariga promised that his government “be focused on stabilising the Cedi” and remained optimisic on the modernisation of agriculture, which he believes will bring a lot of revenue to Ghana.
