Disability Achievers Awards

Awutu-Senya East Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) Dr. Adams Nuhu has entreated Ghanaians to generously support any cause that is aimed at empowering the physically challenged in our society.

According to him, persons living with disability are creatures of God bestowed with enormous untapped talents which when supported will make them self-sufficient instead of relying on begging as the easiest means of making money.

“Persons with disability are blessed with great untapped talents which can be developed through learning of trade which all Ghanaians must help them to achieve so they can create their own wealth instead of sitting by the roadside with the show of amputated hands to make money the easiest way which I believe is not the best,” he stressed.

Dr. Adams Nuhu made the call at the launch of ‘Ghana Disability Achievers Awards’ in Accra on Saturday, July 30, 2016.

The launching ceremony was sponsored by Abodonkwa Herbal and the Zone Restaurant and Pub.

The project dubbed “Ghana Disability Achievers Awards”, the first of its kind in Ghana, is a brainchild of Talented Multimedia Company which seeks to recognize distinguished persons with disability (PWD) in Ghana whose achievements have contributed positively to the socio-economic growth of the country in diverse ways.
