Ghana have dropped two places to 5th in Africa in the October ranking of footballing nations.
Previously 43rd in the world, Ghana are currently 45th, five steps away from dropping out of the Top 50.
The 2010 World Cup quarter-finalists suffered a heavy drop last month after moving from the 35th position in the world to 43rd.
The latest ranking released on Thursday, October 20 sees Ghana’s next month 2018 world cup qualifying opponents Egypt climbing to 46th globally, right behind the West Africans.
Egypt moved seven places up in the latest ranking to come 6th in Africa.
African champions Cote d’Ivoire are still top of the continent, followed by Senegal with Algeria, Tunisia and Ghana making the continent’s Top 5 footballing nations.
Argentina are still global leaders with world champions Germany, Brazil, Belgium and Colombia completing the Top 5 in that order.
