Dr. Papa Kwesi Nduom has made a strong case stating why voting for Nana Akufo-Addo and John Mahama will keep the nation wallowing in abject poverty.
The flag-bearer of the Progressive People’s Party explained that the current challenges confronting Ghana has to be matched with an equally equipped president.
The country’s problem today is finances and job creation, Dr. Nduom analysed on TV3’s New Day Monday.
Considering the backgrounds of Nana Akufo-Addo and John Mahama, he indicated that voting for them would be tantamount to putting square peg in a round hole.
“Match God-given talent, proven ability with the problem of today,” he asserted, “Nana Akufo-Addo is a lawyer, we don’t have a legal problem today; John Dramani Mahama is a communicator, it’s not a spokesman that we are looking for in Ghana today. I am a businessman, financial manager,” he said.
Dr. Nduom who is having a third attempt at the presidency said this year’s election would be his last. He is therefore asking Ghanaians to vote for him because he has what it takes to fix the main problems of the country.
“If Ghanaians want someone with proven experience, if those things that they say are lacking, we had a flight man, J.J Rawlings, as the president. Then it went to a lawyer, then another tax lawyer, and now someone who is called a communicator, now look at what has happened, the economy keeps going up and down, cedi goes up, it goes down, jobs they are going down, power goes down,” he examined.
The PPP leader reminded the electorate that both the NDC and NPP tried their best with their best people but the country is still grappling with financial challenges because voters failed to match the problems with the person they give their mandate to rule.
Dr. Nduom who is a successful business magnate is promising to use the state’s purchasing power to support local industries to create jobs.
