Government will pay GH¢54 and GH¢58 for day and boarding students respectively for the 2016/2017 academic year.
This is part of the subvention under the progressively free senior high school education.
Among the fees absorbed by government as per the approved fees released by the Ghana Education Service (GES) are Examination Fees, Entertainment, Library Fees, SRC Dues, ICT, National Science and Maths Quiz, Development Levy and Utilities.
Therefore, first year day students will pay GH¢25 in general fees while boarding students pay GH¢487.2 aside other approved fees.
