Newly trained teachers have been directed by the Ministry of Education to access their postings online from Friday, September 9.
About 16,432 newly trained teachers will engage in the nationwide exercise.
There was uneasy calm among the newly trained teachers over their postings as they had heard nothing ahead of public schools’ reopen on Tuesday, September 13.
“We hope that this will put to rest claims in certain quarters that newly trained teachers would not be absorbed this year because of the particularly high numbers of graduates as a result of government’s decision to abolish the quota system,” a Ministry of Education press release said.
But there was a caveat to all the newly trained teachers to wait until Wednesday, September 21 to print their appointment letters.
They are required to submit the printed letters to their respective district directors of education.
The teachers have been directed to visit www.gespostings.net , where they are to key in serial numbers and PINs to see where they have been posted to.
