GRA begins graduate employment

graduatesThe Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) has started an exercise to employ its contract staff as well as graduates who ended their National Service with the authority this year.

A memo sighted by 3News dated September 19 and signed by GK Katamani asked qualified service personnel and GRA’s contract staff to submit their applications to their respective former heads by 5:00pm Thursday September 22.

The GRA is made up of three revenue agencies in Ghana – Customs, Excise and Preventive Service (CEPS), the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), the Value Added Tax Service (VATS) and the Revenue Agencies Governing Board (RAGB) Secretariat

“Heads are to ensure that the applications received are forwarded to the Head of Registry by close of work Friday, 23rd September 2016. Personnel who were stationed at the Head Office or Kinbu are to submit their applications directly at the Registry, Room 302, 3rd Floor GRA Head Office,” the memo directed.

It also asked prospective applicants to submit copies of their curriculum vitae and academic certificates, noting, “applications without these attachments shall be rejected”.

Per the memo, category A and B applicants should not be more than 31 and 28 years as at December 31, 2016 respectively. It however did not explain the said categories.

“Applicants in categories A and B will be required to show proof of National Service certificates as well as birth certifcates should they be shortlisted after participation in the aptitude test.
