Ghanaian, Temale-based Chef Failatu Abdul-Razak aimed to become the third Ghanaian to undertake the Guinness World Record marathon challenge within two months for the longest cooking marathon (individual).
The current record holder for the longest cooking marathon (individual) is Irish chef Alan Fisher, who achieved an impressive time of 119 hours and 57 minutes, surpassing the previous record held by Nigerian chef Hilda Baci.
Now, all is set for Chef Failatu Abdul-Razak to embark on this culinary challenge, aiming to surpass Fisher’s record.
The cook-a-thon is scheduled to kick off on Monday, January 1, 2024, and run through January 5th, hosted at the Modern City Hotel in Tamale.
This marks a significant feat as Failatu Abdul-Razak endeavours to showcase her culinary skills and endurance throughout the extended cooking marathon.
