Martha Ankomah firmly refuted Lil Win’s damaging claims, asserting that she never made any of the statements he accused her of.
Emphasizing her unwavering commitment to professionalism and integrity in the Ghanaian film industry, she highlighted that such baseless accusations not only harm her reputation but also disrupt the vital teamwork needed for the entertainment sector to flourish.
Lil Win had alleged that Martha expressed disdain towards Kumawood actors, citing their purported lack of quality storylines as a reason for her refusal to work with them. Martha’s denouncement is on the back of Lilwin’s allegations.
In response to these allegations, Martha Ankomah filed a writ of summons at the High Court in Accra, seeking redress for the false statements made by Lil Win.
The writ, demanding GH₵5 million in damages, underscores the gravity of the situation and the impact on her reputation. The legal action also includes a command for Lil Win to appear in court within eight days to respond to the allegations.
In Martha’s statement of Claim, she asserts that: She vehemently denies Lilwin’s claim and that, she has never had any such meeting with the said director and said anything Lilwin accuses her of to warrant any attack on her brand.
