Entertainment journalist Kwasi Aboagye has expressed disappointment in Fadda Dickson, managing director of Despite Media after he sent him a voice note at dawn to apologize to Sing-A-Thon contestant Afua Asantewaa.
It will be recalled that, during the sing-a-thon last year, it was obvious that Afua Asantewaa had done little to prepare herself for the challenge. it was hoped that, for such a challenge, the competitor would have done a thorough retrospect of the record that had to be broken. It showed in Afua’s attempt that she had not fully done her homework to embark on such a challenge.
To this end, Kwasi Aboagye who noticed the drawbacks cautioned in a manner that did not sit well with Ghaianas at that time. Ghana was behind Afua and they needed her to succeed. So, no negative comments were invited.
While the barrage of feedback was coming from the public, Fadda Dickson had no choice but to ask Kwasi to render an apology for his negative comments. This did not go down well with Kwasi Aboagye as it had been the first time that Fadda Dickson had asked him to do such.
As it stands now, Afua has been disqualified from the record-breaking attempt. It seems Kwasi Aboagye is the one having the last laugh.
Kwasi Aboagye shared his disappointment during an interview session on his entertainment program with Arnold Asamoah-Baidoo.
