Ghanaian hiplife sensation Flowking Stone known in private life as Kwaku Nsiah-Boamah says he will advise his son against using drugs on stage if he chooses to take a music career in the future.
The rap artiste and his wife Bridget welcomed a baby boy in October last year in London.
Flowking Stone and Kunta Kinte won the 2009 Ghana Music Award ‘Most Popular Song of the year’ (with Simple) and 2009 Museke Online Award’s ‘West African Song of the Year’ with the same song.
Flowking has since gone solo due to an unfortunate illness to his brother Kunta.
Answering a question on if he would want his son to do what he is doing now in terms of music on 3FM’s Urban Blend hosted by Miriam Osei Agyemang, Flowking said he is willing to give his son the full support if he chooses that path but wouldn’t tolerate him getting ‘high’ to perform on stage.
“If he chooses that path, then I wouldn’t have a problem.
“I don’t think he has to be high to perform because I don’t get high on anything before I go out there to perform.
“We have been rocking shows since and I have never been high on anything and it’s the truth.”
According to him, most of the up and coming artistes copied wrongly from their mentors and have been affected one way or the other by that.
“Most of their mentors have been caught up in that since they were young and have always thought that if you want to sing like Bob Marley then you will have to do what he does in every way.
“I will let him know that it’s a talent and it’s God given so he has to work on it every single day”.
