Award-winning musician Kofi Kinaata has confirmed his plan to release a seven-song EP this year.
Despite not having a collection released in his over a decade-long career, his individual tracks and collaborations have solidified his position among Ghana’s top musicians, gaining recognition globally.
Kinaata, a three-time Ghana Music Awards Songwriter of the Year winner, has faced pressure to release an album. In an exclusive interview on Empire FM’s ShowBiz Today, he revealed that the EP is set to drop on his birthday, April 15th, after initially considering a December release.
“This year I am releasing an EP on my birthday , 15TH April , I had even wanted to drop it last December but I delayed it.”
“It will be at least a seven song EP, for those who are asking for a body of work,” he said.
Kinaata mentioned that the EP’s performance will influence his decision on whether to release a full album.
