The youth of Gbulung in the Kumbungu District of the Northern Region on Wednesday, August 17 demonstrated against the poor road network in the community.

The youth numbering about one thousand and clad in red and black marched through the muddy roads shouting chants like ‘No more go come’, ‘No light, no vote’, ‘We are tired’ and  ‘Are we not Ghanaians’.

A petition has also been presented to the Kumbungu District Assembly to be sent to the President through the Northern Regional Coordinating Council.

The youth have given government a one-month ultimatum to fix the road or stand the chance of being voted out come December, 2016.

According to them, teachers and health workers decline posting to Gbulung and surrounding communities due to inaccessibility.
