Ghanaian socialite and entrepreneur, Aba Dope, challenged the perception of a glamorous life abroad, stressing that migrating doesn’t guarantee success.
Speaking on Ladies Circle on TV3, she highlighted that while some may be lured by promises of a better life overseas, the reality often falls short. She emphasized that despite the allure, achieving one’s dreams abroad can be challenging without luck or support.
“If you’re in Ghana and you think you can fulfill your dream, you think you have a beautiful dream, you have passion for doing something but unfortunately you have no help, when you start you’ll definitely have a helper,” she stated, before adding, “Because moving from Ghana to a different country … it’s never greener there. They flaunt it like it’s so green, as if it’s so easy… you can never have your freedom if you’re not lucky.”
