Ghanaian actor and film producer, Kwadwo Nkansah, popularly known as Lilwin, is pleased following the destoolment of five chiefs in the Ashanti Region by the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II for various reasons including land issues, illegal mining, as well as abandoning of stools.
The actor, praised the great king for the recent destoolment of some chiefs in his kingdom, emphasizing that these chiefs create confusion in the communities in which they serve. He also noted that the activities of these Chiefs negatively affected the image of the 16th Asantehene.
In an exclusive interview with Ike the Unpredictable on Angel FM, the actor, who doubles as a musician and owner of Great Minds International School Lilwin has pleaded with the overlord of the Ashanti kingdom to destool more chiefs in order to bring sanity into the traditional system of government to help end confusion in the communities they serve.
“I have seen our Lord Otumfuo destooling some Chiefs. I think it is long overdue. They create confusion, you sit on a prestigious Asante stool yet you sell a parcel of land to one person and again sell it to another person after the first person has paid you.”
He continued, “When they do that it affects Otumfuo and people begin to call his name. So as he has started this, I know the Chief of my hometown is nearing destoolment.”
Lilwin personally requested that the Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II check the Chief of his Home Twon Boaman because he smells some rot in his dealings.
