Love Ambassador Chapel donates to 250 street children

Over 250 children at Ashaiman have benefited from a donation by the Love Ambassador Chapel.

The gesture was done in collaboration with the PREMIER TERRACE LTD and AfricaDotBeyond Gh Ltd to provide food for the children of whom most are homeless.

The provision by the church is done annually as respite and to also evangelize to the children.

Speaking after the gesture the head pastor of Love Ambassador Chapel Stephen Guoyu said the decision to choose Ashaiman is because of the many social vices the community is noted for.

“When you mention the name of Ashaiman, everybody thinks about crime, drug addiction, armed robbery and all sorts of crime. You see that many people living in this area feel embarrassed to associate with Ashaiman. As servants of God we believe that it’s our duty to change the stereotype about Ashaiman and that can be done using the word of God”

He however called for more support from benevolent individuals to finance the work of the church.

“Most of the children cannot read so we have to teach them by getting teachers which is costly. We also hire a place to meet which calls for more money. As part of our work we convey the children to the church and we have to pay more for transportation and that is becoming a challenge”

The head pastor further called for volunteers to join the work of the church.
