President John Dramani Mahama continues his campaign for reelection from Monday, August 22 as he begins a tour of his home region, Northern Region.
A statement issued by his campaign spokesperson over the weekend said the four-day campaign tour is expected to draw huge crowds and focus on an interaction between the president and the people.
The campaign follows that in the Western Region, which was the first after the National Democratic Congress (NDC) launched its 2016 campaign at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium in the Central Region.
The campaign in the Northern Region begins at Salaga, where President Mahama will pay a courtesy call on the newly enskinned Kpembewura.
“The NDC Candidate for 2016 will visit many other chiefs in the region and interact with market women, farmers, and engage other members of the public along his scheduled campaign route,” Joyce Bawa Mogtari’s statement said.
Other areas to be visited by the president include Kpandai, Bimbilla, Wulensi, Yendi, Gushiegu, Zabzugu, Tatale, Mion, Nanton and Chereponi.
