International relations expert, Dr. Vladimir Antwi-Danso is predicting massive deportation from Britain following its decision to leave the European Union.
He also predicts tightening of immigration laws in the United Kingdom, after the people voted Thursday to leave the EU.
Talking about its implication on 3FM’s Sunrise morning show on Friday, Dr. Antwi-Danso predicted serious times ahead for migrants to the UK.
He explained that Europe has one migration policy but Britain will now formulate its own which will result in many being forced to leave. Those trying to enter will also have a tough time.
Dr. Antwi-Danso is also predicting many social and economic hiccups as people who have settled in Britain for years and may even have set up businesses may be compelled to leave.
He believes former British Prime Minister, Gordon Brown will be the best adviser to the British government on this issue since their economy slumped under his jurisdiction in 1993. This happened out of fear that Britain could be getting out of the European Union.
SHOULD GHANA ALSO LEAVE AU?
In a related development, some Ghanaians are suggesting Ghana also leaves the Africa Union to make it more independent, but Dr. Antwi-Danso says this will be a big mistake.
He says the vagaries of globalization make it imperative for countries to get together. Dr. Antwi-Danso however adds quickly that he has misgivings out the way the AU is formed.
He is advocating building blocks like ECOWAS and SADC with single economies, single currencies etc., arguing that economies that are put together will grow faster.
