Medeama host Tanzania’s Yanga in CAF Cofed Cup today

Medeama SC

Ghana Premier League side Medeama SC will chase their first win in this year’s CAF Confederation Cup as they play host to Tanzania’s Young Africans at the Essipong Sports Stadium on Tuesday.

The match will be the second home game for the Ghanaians in this year’s campaign.

The Yellow and Mauves lie third in Group A having amassed 2 points from a possible 9.

Ahead of Tuesday’s must-win game, Medeama drew 1-1 with the Tanzanians at the National Stadium in Dar es Salaam a fortnight ago.

The two sides are bottom-placed in the group and a win will boost either’s chances of making it to the next stage. Yanga need a win more as they lie bottom with just one point from the reverse fixture of Tuesday’s match.

Moroccan Redouane Jiyed will officiate the match.

In the other group game to be played on Wednesday, July 27, leaders TP Mazembe will host Algeria’s MO Bejaia in Lubumbashi, DR Congo.
