Medeama SC on Sunday booked a place in the next round of qualifiers for the Caf Confederation Cup at the expense Al Ittihad Tripoli of Libya.
Ghana’s FA Cup champions qualified 2-1 on aggregate.
After losing 0-1 to the Libyans last week, the Mauve and Gold cancelled the deficit early in the game before adding another goal to end the second leg 2-0 at the Essipon Stadium.
A late goal by Ittihad was ruled out by the center referee Daouda Gauye.
Medeama SC play Sudan’s Al-Ahly Shendi in the next qualifying stage of the continent’s second-tier club competition, which is in its 13th edition.
