Member of Parliament for Klottey Korle Constituency Nii Armah Ashietey has written to the High Court to quash all proceedings against Dr Zanetor Agyemang Rawlings and the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
The three had been embroiled in a legal tussle after Dr Rawlings beat the former minister of state in NDC primaries to be the 2016 Parliamentary Candidate.
Nii Armah Ashietey took his grievance as far as to the Supreme Court, which on July 18 dismissed his suit by ruling that the daughter of former president Jerry John Rawlings is eligible to stand the December 7 elections.
The Court also asked the High Court hearing a similar case to also declare Dr Rawlings qualified.
On Wednesday, August 3, counsel for the MP Gary Nimako Marko notified the High Court of Nii Armah Ashietey’s decision in a writ.
Meanwhile, the MP has denied rumours that he will contest the elections as an independent candidate.
He has asked all to treat with contempt posters making rounds about him going independent.
