Highlife musician Bisa Kdei has revealed that his viral tweet about the media being paid to not play his songs was written by his Personal Assistant (PA).
Last week, a tweet by Bisa Kdei in response to a fan’s question about why his songs don’t get airplay went viral on social media.
A fan with the twitter account Joseph Yaw Agyei had asked, “Bisa please why the media didn’t pay attention to your music because me i don’t understand why because your music is More than more than.”
The “Mansa” hitmaker replied, “It’s an agenda. They have taken some money to do that. If you love my music keep loving it. The media is fake #AskBisaKdei.”
This led to some entertainment critics attacking the musician on the various entertainment shows on radio.
However, speaking with Andy Dosty on Hitz FM’s Daybreak Hitz on Tuesday, the award winning musician said he gave his PA the authority to respond to the tweet.
“I decided to have a chat with my followers and on that same fateful day, I was on set shooting a music video. I gave the phone to my PA by name Jay, to respond to some of the questions by my fans because I was ready for the shoot.
“It’s true some people in the media have an agenda to sabotage me but I didn’t ask him to add that the media was fake and they have taken money to do that.
“Those were his own words. I asked him why he added that part and he said he heard people saying it,” he said.
When asked by the host why he didn’t let his publicist respond to the tweet, Bisa Kdei said his publicist was busy doing other things concerning the video shoot.
Andy Dosty then asked him to fire his PA but Bisa Kdei was quick to say he won’t do that but will rather punish him.
He issued an apology to people offended by his tweet explaining, “It was a mistake that we are trying to rectify…if I offended some people I plead that you forgive me.”
