Nana Aba Anamoah: ‘I Fear No Politician, Football Official, or Authority – None of Them Feeds Me’

Media personality, Nana Aba Anamoah, boldly expressed her lack of fear towards politicians, football officials, and authority figures in Ghana, stating, “I’m not afraid of any politician or any football official or anybody in authority in this country because none of them feeds me. They can’t even feed me to start with, and so I’m not afraid of any of them.”
During a candid interview on 3 Music TV, she shared her disappointment with the state of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), criticizing key figures and calling for a comprehensive overhaul.

“I expected better from Kurt Okraku, but Kurt has not done better. I expected Henry Asante Twum who was working at Starr FM to do better; he hasn’t done better. Our football is dead,” she emphasized.
Dismissing the efficacy of a recent protest against the GFA, she declared, “Yesterday I saw that protest; ‘Save Ghana Football,’ it will not yield any results.”

Advocating for a radical solution, she suggested, “What we should do is to dissolve that FA and get a ban from FIFA and put our house in order. That’s the only way we can save our football.” Nana Aba Anamoah warned against cronyism, emphasizing the need to appoint individuals with genuine competence: “Put people with sense there to work because what we’re seeing at the moment, the FA and the sports ministry are in bed; they’re having wild sex, and we’re paying for everything.”

Highlighting fiscal mismanagement, she questioned the budget allocation, stating, “How do you budget $8.5 million for a tournament whose winning price is $7 million? Our football is completely dead.”
In her passionate critique, Nana Aba Anamoah advocates for genuine reform and strategic restructuring to revive Ghana’s football landscape.
