Nana Addo supports Musama Disco Christo Church with GH¢5k; calls for peaceful elections

Leader of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo over the weekend made a donation of GH¢5,000 to Musama Disco Christo Church.

The Church founded in 1922 by first Prophet Jemisimiham Jehu-Appiah, a former Catechist at the Methodist Church, is holding its annual Peace Festival at its Gomoa headquarters.

Guest of honour was Nana Akufo-Addo.

In a speech read on his behalf, NPP Acting National Chairman Freddie Blay urged the congregation to pray for the Electoral Commission for peaceful elections on December 7.

On the sidelines of the Festival, Mr Blay told Onua FM’s Kwame Kakraba that Nana Akufo-Addo has a vision to transform Ghana and it is high time Ghanaians voted out President John Mahama.

The Peace Festival was held on the theme ‘Drinking Water from the Rain of Heaven’ taken from Deuteronomy 11: 11.

The Festival by Musama Disco Christo Church to wit the Army of the Cross of Christ Church began on August 23 and expected to end on September 4.

In a speech read on behalf of head prophet Mokna Jeeba Jehu-Appiah by Adwoa Amoako-Atta, the Church highlighted some of the problems in the area.

They asked for better roads, potable water and toilet facilities.

Madam Amoako-Atta, who is National Executive Committee Member and Head of Protocol, expressed gratitude to the NPP for the gesture.

Among NPP’s delegation to the Festival were National Campaign Manager Peter Mac-Manu, NPP Central Regional Chairman Robert Kutin and Parliamentary Candidate for Gomoa West Justice Abban.
