NATO: Bulgaria’s Decision to Expel Russian Officials Must Be Respected

Brussels, July 01, (BTA/GNA) – Bulgaria’s decision to expel 70 Russian personnel as foreign agents is a sovereign decision which must be respected, said NATO’s Spokesperson Oana Lungescu in her Twitter profile on Friday.

“NATO Allies strongly condemn Russia’s pattern of coercive behaviour and attempts to interfere in our democratic processes and institutions and to target the security of our citizens,” Lungescu added.

She concluded that the North Atlantic Alliance stands in solidarity with its ally Bulgaria.
