Popular Nollywood actor Bolanle Ninalowo has announced his separation from his wife Bunmi after 16 years of marriage.

The couple reportedly met in 2004 and got married in 2007 and are blessed with two children, Aliyah and Morakinyo.

Before this development, the actor and his wife were said to have separated over infidelity claims in 2019 but reconciled in 2021.

On Friday, September 1, the actor made the announcement via an emotional official statement on his Instagram, saying that it was a “sad reality” but necessary for a “brighter and more fulfilling future.”

“My wife and I have decided to go our separate ways and headed for an irreconcilable marriage dissolution,” he said

Ninalowo said that he had prayed and worked hard to avoid this outcome, but that he had come to realize that it was the best decision for both him and his wife. Also he was heartbroken but not shattered and that he was determined to move on and be better for the sake of his children.

In his post, Ninalowo added that he hoped that his fans would respect his privacy and pray for him and his wife during this difficult time and they would continue to jointly take care of their children.

“Please respect our privacy and pray for us during this process as we heal and move on with our independent lives while jointly caring for what we love most: our children!”

Ninalowo’s wife, Bunmi, is yet to comment on this development.
