The Greater Accra branch of the Ghana Registered Nurses and Midwives’ Association will organize a blood donation exercise Thursday at its secretariat near Korle Bu Teaching Hospital.
This forms part of the branch’s week celebration which begins Wednesday August 31, 2016.
The Ghana Registered Nurses and Midwives’ Association is an organized and well structured Association that serves as the mouth piece of all Nurses and Midwives in the country.
The Association has been in existence since 1960 and Celebrates its Nurses and Midwives week every year in May. The week is launched in every May by the Headquarters of the Association and later celebrated across the length and breadth of the Country.
However a statement signed by the Regional Secretary, Prince Opuni-Frimpong said the regional association will be celebrating the week from 31st August to 4th September 2016.
The week is being marked under the theme “Nurses and Midwives: A Force for Change, Improving Health System Resilience Through Safe Staffing.”
