The People’s National Convention (PNC) has settled on Havard-trained economist Emmanuel Anyidoho as running mate to Dr Edward Nasigre Mahama for the December 7 elections.
The decision to pick Mr Anyidoho as the party’s Vice Presidential Candidate followed a decision submitted to the National Executive Committee by a five-man search party.
“The choice is hugely influenced by his humility, grasp of the Ghanaian situation and his exemplary and visionary leadership,” a release signed by National Chairman Bernard Mornah said.
“Comrade Anyidoho has in the past worked with United Nations (UN), worked with the African Union (AU), the Ministry of Finance and also lectured at the University of Ghana.
“He comes to the table with a lot of experience to complement the exceptional and impeccable record of Dr. Edward Nasigre Mahama.”
PNC contested the 2012 elections with Helen Sanorita Dzatugbe Matervi as running mate to Hassan Ayariga, who will contest the upcoming elections on the ticket of new party All People’s Congress (APC).
