The Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA) has announced that it has officially partnered with the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Askof Productions Limited, Afua Asantewaa Aduonum in her attempt to break the Guinness World Record for the longest singing marathon (individual).
In a statement, the Ghana Tourism Authority said that in unison with the partnership, the venue for the attempt has been moved from the Aviation Social Centre to Akwaaba Village near the Airport Roundabout.
According to the statement, the change of the venue is attributed to the overwhelming public interest in the event.
“The Ghana Tourism Authority(GTA), official partners of the forthcoming Guinness World Record [Longest singing by an individual)breaking attempt wishes to inform the general public that the event, originally slated for the Aviation Social Centre in Accra will now be held at the Akwaaba Village being constructed near the Airport Round About, Accra December 24 to 27”.
“The venue change is to help accommodate the huge numbers who have expressed interest in attending to support our own, Afua Asantewaa, breaking the record. Any inconvenience caused is deeply regretted”

Afua has so far received support from individuals and companies.
Sonotech Medical and Diagnostic Centre has offered to provide medical assistance to her and be the official health partners fully available for her on all the four days she will be attempting the singathon.
As part of grooming her voice for the event, popular Ghanaian voice coach, Freeman Ame Daniel, has also offered to take her through vocal training from now till 24th – 27th December, 2023 when the programme will take place.
