Pastors of today do not support gospel musicians – Tagoe Sisters

Ghanaian gospel music duo, Tagoe Sisters has complained about pastors
of today not giving support to gospel musicians in terms of promoting
their music.

The Veteran Gospel musicians made this known in an interview with
Abeiku Santana on ‘Ekwanso Dwodwoo’ on Okay Fm.

According to the ‘Yedi Nkunim’ hitmakers, support given to them by the
late Francis Akwasi Amoako was massive when they began their journey
as gospel musicians but things are different now.

“Modern-day pastors are not helping us anymore, we’ve been putting in
much effort to get to the top but they don’t support us. They think
that’s all after performing in their churches,” they stated.

They said one of their biggest challenges has been financial help, they
work hard to raise money to record but pastors of today do not help
them market it.

“We hardly accept money after performance when we started singing because
money wasn’t our motive, we thought singing was a sacrificial job but
at a point in time, we came to realize that we need money to push our
craft.

“Pastors refuse to help us sell our music to church members even after
recording with our own money,” the veteran Gospel music duo added.
